I've made my own unique system that breaks up Battle ANgel Alita Last Order into different chapters based on commons thems. There are eight volumes avalivle in english with 9th comming out in the beining of next month. I've organnized into four chapter: Tiphares Chapter (Vol.1-2), Kethres Chapter (Vol.3-4), Z.O.T. Chapter (Vol.5-7) Caerula Chapter (Vol. 8-9).

Bellow are two story synopsises for Battle Angel Alita. The first is of battle Angel Alita the original series. The Second is for Battle ANge ALita last order. The Last Order Synposis only includes the synopsis up to the most current Last Order manga in english, since the manga series isnt over yet.

Battle Angel Alita

Vol.1 - 9

In the near future...the world is divided into the dominated and the dominators. Tiphares, e floating artificial utopia, rules the Scrapyard, the surface, absolutely. But no one knows when or why this floating city was made-or by whom.

          Ido, a Tipharean cyber-doctor and denizen of the Scrapyard, finds the head of a cyborg in a pile of rubble, and miraculously rebuilds her. She  awakens with no memories, and ido names her "Alita". Slowly, the harsh life of the Scrapyard stirs te fighting spirit within her, and she begins her path of self-discovery, living as a hunter-warrior, or bounty-hunter.

         Alita meets and falls in love with Hugo, a boy who idolizes Tiphares. When she loses Hugo, she is heartbroken. Out of despreration, she turns to the pro sport world of Motor Ball, where she competes agianst the might Jashugan.

         In battle with a vicicous cyborg named Zapan, whose body was revamped by evil genious Desty Nova, Alita loses Ido-her only family. Een her own life hangs by a thread.

         The Tipharean orginization G.I.B presents Alita with a new path, and she chooses to live the life of a TUNED, a Tipharean agent, so that she can search for Nova, who holds the key to Ido's regeneration.

         In the process, Alita becomes acquainted with Figure, a mercenary, and recovers the human soul she almost lost. Still, many seem tos tand in her way: Kaos, Nova's son and a master of psychometry; Den, Kaos's alter-ego and the leader of the masses that oppose Tiphares; Koyomi, one of Den's groupies; the TUNED AR series, replicas of-and replacements for-Alita. Bitter battles ensue, and Lou, the operator who serves as backup support for the TUNED system, is ultimatley relived of duty. Only then is the shocking truth revealed: Tipharean adults have all had their brains replaced by bio-chips!

Alita resists the hacking of her brain and defeats Nova. It seems as if she has finally won, but a suprising trap awaits her as she makes her way back to Figure-Nova has regenerated himself through nano-technology. Alita is consumed in an explostion, and her brain is taken to Tiphares...

 

          Battle Angel Alita Last Order

Nova resurects Alita and gives her the ultimate Imaginos body. Upheavel and bloodshed rule Tiphares as its citizens descend into madness after Nova's bio-chip revelation. Jim, the young genious Nova has chosen as his successor, succumbs to despair and activates his monster robot Sachumodo.

            In the depths of Tiphares, Alita finds Lou's body-a mee shell without her brain bio-chip. Alita decides to ride to Kethres with Nova and his escort, the TUNED AR series, but Nova is captured by Aga Mbadi, Hitechnolat Minister and LADDER asistant Chairman. Alita and company are jetisoned into space.

             Ping the infamous hecker, saves them all-with an able assist from Queen Limeira of the Mars Kingdom Parliament. Alita finds refuge in the space colony Leviathan I, and decides to participate in the Zenith of Things Touranment (Z.O.T.T), in which the winning team is falely promised a commonwealth, while awaiting her chance to steal Lou's brain.

             In the first round, Alitas team, the Space Angels, defeat the guntrolls, the Stellar Nursery Society team led by Caerula Sanguis. This proves to be a fateful reunion for the two. Caerula entrusts Alita with a mysterious computer program named Fata Morgana.

            In the second round, Alita leaves the battle with the Starship Cult up to Sechs, Elf and Zwolf, while she inflitrates Kethres on her own. Happening upon Tzyk, her former Panzer Kunst instoctor, Alita finally regains her lost memories during the ensuing battle. Meanwhile, thanks to Sechs, the Space Angels deafet the Starship Cult, and advance to the next Phase...

             Her resolve renewed by her confrontation with her past, Alita uses the Fata Morgana to hack into Melchizedek. By accessing Merlin, the prototype software still hidden within Melchizedek, she is possessed by vissions of the violent and tragic past of both humanity and its vampiric counterpart, the immortal Cognate.
             The saga of Vilma, as Caerula Sanguis was once called, her lover Victor, and her innocent human freinds Arthur and Haruka continues to unfold.

    Alita/Gally

Alita is a female cyborg (machine and human mix, in this case machine body human brain) who hails from the Planet Mars. She is a master of Panzer Knust, an ancient close combat fighting style. She was taught this deadly combat art at a very young age by another Cyborg warrior named Gelda. Not much is know about Alita's past (Since she dosent remeber most of it herself!) but we do know she became part of a war agianst Ketheres (a space city), fighting on the side of an army in the name of Mars. Alita's name at that time was Yoko, before she was renamed Alita by Doc Ido. Alita went on a suicide mission to destroy Ketheres, but was caught in the Earths atmosphere and nearly killed. Her whole body was nearly disintegrated. (this tid-bit of info all happened bafore the manga).

 200 years after the mysterious war between Kethres and Mars Yoko's body was found by Doctor Ido in a Scrap Yard in the Scrap Yard city. Althought her brain was still intact. Yoko had no memories from her past life, so Ido renamed her Alita after his cat which had recently died and she quickly adjusted to her life in the ScrapYard and followed in her mentors footsteps and became a hunter warrior. Somehow Alita was able to remember her Panzer Knust through pure instinct while in combat and it gave her a great advantage over early oponents like Makaku.

         Alita fell in love with a boy named Hugo, who sold human spines on the black market and had a dream of going to Tiphares. The dream ended up killing him and it broke Alita's heart. During this time Alita and Ido had a falling through and Alita went out on her own, hiding her true feelings behind the deadly sport of Motorball! Alita got quite the rep as a MotorBall contestant and she was nick named the "Killing Angel"! Alita enjoyed the sport beacuse it took her mind off Hugo, but she never planned on playing it forever. Alita left the Motorball rink after a final match against Motor Ball chapion: Jashugan!

Alita reunited with Doctor Ido and there was finnaly peace...for a few days. Doctor Ido left the scrap yard to visit Desty Nova who had bought Alita's beserker body after she sold itwhen she had joined the Motor Ball Leauge, and see if he could buy the dangerous body back. But Ido never returned. Alita went to Desty Nova's lab in search of Ido, unfortunaley Desty nova informed Alita that Ido had been killed in a deadly battle with Zapan who was equiped with the Beserker body. Zapan was headed to the Scrap Yard in Search of his living karma, Alita! Alita, after making Desty Nova promise to bring Ido back to life, rushed back to the Scrap Yard to inform the city of Zapans furry. But she was too late. Not even the factory defenses could stop him. Zapan finnaly  confronted Alita atop the remains of Ido cyborg repair shop. Alita was barley able to defeat Zapan, let alone stay alive herself. But this time Zapan was truly dead.

Even though Alita had saved the Scrap Yard from certain doom, she had violated Scrap Yard law by firing a fire arm, the sentace: death. Alita's body was nearly destroyed before it was saved by an unlikely hero: Tipahres. Cheif of G.I.B  Bigott Eizebburg, managed to hold off Alitas execution long enouph to convince and recruit her as a Tuned agent. Cheif Bigot revealed that Alita's pet Kimiji was actually a reconasonce life form monitoring her for the last few years. Alita agreed to become a Tuned Agent only in hopes of some day seeing Ido agian. 

Alita's was the first "Tuned agent of Tiphares. Her fisrt mission was to safe gaurd a factory train from the Bar Jack bandits, which is where she meet Figure Four. Alita did her best to protect the train but thats kind of hard when the head of authority is a Deckman.

As Bar Jack became more of a threat to Tiphares, Alita was sent to track down and kill their notorious leader: Den. Alita found Den and battled him (in a wedding dress), but she showed mercy and didnt kill him. This was her one and only flaw: her humaness and ability to show sympathy, a trait Tiphares would try to fix or rather get rid of latter on.

Alita was on an important mission for leads on the where about of Ex-Tipherean citezen Proffesor Desty Nova, the Ladder upper atmosphere council had become very intrested in the Profesor. Alita's mission was interupted by a deadly warrior: a copy of herelf. G.I.B had used Alita to make copies for themselfs. These copies, called the AR two series, were everything Alita was and more. The heads featured solid-state brains, which make them more impact resistant and make powerfull moves shuch as the  Geheimnis Einzug Rustugen mere flesh wounds and they were completly obidient. Alita's opponent AR-2 proved to be to much of challenge for Alita (at the time) and Alita would have been killed if not for the heroic efforts of Lou Collins, Alita's Tuned opperator in Tiphares.

Even after Tiphares tryed to do away with Alita, they forced her back into service to track down Desty Nova. Alita complied only beacuse she knew Chaos would need help defeating his father. Alita made it to the Granite Inn (Nova's labratory) to fall into Nova's traps just like Chaos.

Nova hacked into Alita's senses via her Tuned digital com-link. He trapped her psyche inside his program Ourobros, which can manipulate its captors memories and subconscious. It is impoosible to break out of, well almost.

Inside the Ourobros Alita battled with Jashugan the Motorball Champion. But this time it was diffrent,  Alita conquered her Karama and by defeating Jahugan inside Ourobros she escaped the Ourbros all by herself.

Alita freed Chaos (as Desty Nova made his escape) and then defeated Nova's two assistants Barzarld and Elia. Then she went for the Proffesor himself, for the final showdown! Alita battled Nova and with help from Chaos she was finnally able to kill the professor.

After all the fighting, all the stugle Alita was finnaly free. Free to do as she pleased. She rembered her promise to figure and decided to visit his village at the sea. Alita was on her way, when she ran into a small child playing with a ball on the middle of the badlands. Alita was to shocked to see the trap: a child by itself in the badlands. The child was actualy a doll bomb. As soon as Alita went over to pick what she thought was a child, the doll bomb blew up and ripped her to pieces, her entire body. It was the work of Desty Nova, back from the dead!

After Allita was killed. Desty Nova rturned to his home city of Tiphares, andhe took a few piece's of Alita's brain matter with him. Once in Tiphares Nova reconstructed Alita's brain and gave her a new body the Imaginos body. It was her best body ever considering it was made by her arch enemy.

Once in Tiphares Alita and Nova were forced to put aside there difrrences and forget what happened on the surface world. They had to band together and st Tiphares right wit the surface dwellers and itself. But first Alita went to find Lou who had saved her from the AR-2 unit, it had cost her her citezenship. Alita resqued Lou just before she was dumped from tiphares along with the rest of the garbage.

After the resque mission Lou acompoined Alita and Desty Nova to the center of Tiphareswhere they would battle the very brain of M.I.B, the super computer: "Melchizedek"! This last battle although Alita was present can be attrbuted more to Nova than to her. Using his nano-technology, Nova was able to revel Melchizedek for what it really was, the selfish machine it had become. Before Nova could do any real damage,  Melchizedik ejected itself from Tiphares falling down below into Tiphares.

Without Melchizedek, the orbital ring, which held Tiphares together would collapse. And all three world; Kethres Tiphares and the Scrap Yard would all die. The was no electronic way to stop this catastrophe and and a crew of engineers would take days to reach to orbital elevator. Leave it to Dest Nova to have on final secret up his sleeve. Using the powers f her imagimos body which could reach speeds of up to mach 17.5 (17 times past the spead of sound) Alita could reach to sky hook in two minutes. Nova gave Alita a test tube like object he called a "trigger" which Alita could inject into her body and go through a transmutation procces and then fuse with the docking bolt, essentialy holding it together like glue. Alita excepted the task and raced up the orbital elevator to save the only world she could ever rember.

Alita's sacrifice saved Kethres, Tiphares and the Scrap Yard. When she fused with the orbital elevator a beautiful nano-plant was created with elegant flower pedals that blossomed around Kethres, a long stem which had wrapped itself around the orbital elevator and mezmorizing root system that cascaded around Tiphares and decended down into the Scrap Yard. Although Alitas last actions may never be fully understood by those who she saved, what will remain in their memories is this testimony of her strength.

Alita in Last Order

Alita awakens with her head in the clouds, literaly! After bing killed by Desty Nova at the endof the original series, Alita is resurected by Nova... in Tiphares! Why Nova has done this, Alita dosent know, but he's aquiped her with a powefull new body, the Imaginos body! One of Nova's greast creations. Alita discovers Proffesor Nova is dead amid chaos he created. Just before Alita was reborn, Nova hacked the Tiphares broadcating network and revealed the secret of Tiphares live. Alita soon finds heself caught Tiphares youngster and their enem parents.

Trying not to take sides, Alita is none the less drawn int the conflict by a young man named Jim Rosscoe who sent a trio of teenagers to fetch her from Novas lab. After going to the childrens base, Alita learned about what had happened since Tiphares went mad and about the war that was raging acros the giant cloud city. The kids belived that the brain was what made people Human, and they envisioned a new Tiphares where there were no brain chips. But first they had to protect the 235 children that still had brains and get rid of the surviving adults, sane or not. Alia didnt want any part of it and set out find lou, her long lost freind, who was her "Tuned" operater during her days as a Tuned Agent. Also acomoning Alita are Pam and Nola who orignally found alita insde proffesor Nova's lab.

While journying across the cit, the trio stopped at a pbulic theatre to rest. Suddenly as they were resting, a mysterious cloacked figure marched into the theatre from behind the stage. The figure explained that she had been searching for Alita. The firgure took off her cloack to reael, an Alita look alike!? Much to Pam and Nolas dismay, it wasnt Alitas twin, it was a clone, a former Tuned Agent of the AR series, AR 6, also known as Sechs! Sechs challenged Alita and a terrifying batle took place. I the beginig it seemed evenly matched in Panzer Knust, but although sechs was a clone, she lacked two-hundred years of fighting exirence like Alita. However the fight was suddenly interupted by an unlikely figure, Dest Nova, back fromt he dead!

Desty Nova insited that he was a mere spectator, and had nothig to do with Sechs. Hoever standing behind him were two other AR units he had brang up from the surface to be his gaurds: Elf and Zwolf. After a quick round of introductions, Alita turned back to her fight at hand. Sechs went back with more vigor than ever, but she was still short. Finally Elf and Zolf trapped alita on theteatre stage. Sechs prepared her speacil weapon: a Giant gun that transformed from her arm. Just when it seemed Alita was trapped she ripped throught the stage floor, disapeared through the theatre, and appread behind her enmeies holding Desty as her hostage. Alita though aside her hostage and in a stunning display of tlent the two combants battled out the finnal seconds of the duel.

Weapons and bodies

The Damascus blade was created by Lam Dao and given to Alita by her motorball manager, Ed. The blade is hard as diamond, and can only be honed with high pressure water or supersonic waves. The blade consists of rare metals, including scandium, yttrium and lutetium, and has patterns suggestive of Damascus steel. The blade seems to represent Alita herself, as the imperfections and emotions that Alita has made her tougher than the emotionless AR series clones. This link between blade and bearer is further recognized in Last Order, when Desty Nova merges the blade into Alita's new Imaginos body to improve its durability. Later in the series, Alita often chooses to reproduce the blade by morphing her malleable Imaginos body.

Berserker Body

After Alita’s first, non-combat body is destroyed, Ido equips her with a Berserker body that he has salvaged from the remains of a spaceship. The body allows supersonic movement as well as two unique combat abilities:

• Plasma emission – the Berserker body allows Alita to inhale air and electrically heat it. She can then release it through her fingertips at over 15,000 degrees Celsius.
• Electromagnetic manipulation – Alita can control and speed up both her internal plasma as well as external sources of heat.

It should be noted that Alita’s time in the Berserker body was spent with the body’s powers partially sealed for safety purposes. When the Berserker mode seal is released, the body can change form at the wearer’s will by electromagnetic manipulation, and can even summon animate beings made of plasma. However, the user runs the risk of being consumed by the Berserker body, which is constantly absorbing matter. Desty Nova later acquired the Berserker Body from Alita's Motorball manager, Ed, and released the safety locks. He planned to transplant Zapan's brain into it, but underestimated the body's destructive potential and Zapan's burning desire for revenge against Alita. Zapan was later killed and the Berserker Body destroyed being shot with bullets loaded with collapser that caused it to disintegrate.

Motorball Body

The motorball body gives Alita speed and flexibility at the cost of power and weaponry. Because of the dangerous nature of motorball, the body’s limbs are constantly replaced and peak performance is not always guaranteed.

It is in this body that Alita first receives her Damascus Blade; first as two separate blades on her wrists. After these blades are damaged in the fight with "Caligula" Armblessed, they are re-forged into the single blade that becomes Alita's primary weapon.

Civilian Body

Alita had two civilian bodies. She received the first after Ido found and revived her, which had decorated arms. This body was destroyed in Alita's first fight with Makaku.

Alita's second civilian body was used after she retired from motorball because the Berserker Body had been sold by her old manager, Ed, in an effort to keep her in the sport, and the Motorball Body was unsuitable for day-to-day life. While this body had no combat abilities, Alita did have a few weapons:

• Damascus Blade: After Alita retired from motorball, the Damascus Blade was removed from her Motorball Body. It spent two years tucked in a corner gathering dust until Alita unearthed it to go after Ido, who had not returned from his trip to buy back the Berserker Body from Desty Nova. It was later made into a large knife.

• Handgun: A Smith & Wesson snub nosed revolver received from Desty Nova. While the gun itself was nothing special, the bullets were tipped with "collapser" nanomachines, specifically designed to destroy Zapan's unlocked Berserker body.

The civilan body was almost completely destroyed in the fight with Zapan, and Alita was nearly killed by the Factory for the Class A Offense of using a projectile weapon in the Scrapyard.

 TUNED Body

Alita (or A-1) receives the TUNED body after becoming an agent of Tiphares. Alita was connected at all times via satellite to the Tipharean Ground Investigation Bureau, or G.I.B. She was commanded by an operator, who had the ability to provide a Pavlovian shock stimulus to her should she ignore orders. As the product of advanced Tipharean technology, the body had the ability to travel at supersonic speeds and withstand a great deal of damage. However, as a “soft” body supported by nanotechnology to create and maintain vital systems, the body would overheat and malfunction under extremely high temperature conditions. Nonetheless, the body had a variety of effective support weapons, many of them designed to look like insects.

• Butterfly Damascus Blade: Alita's signature weapon, modified as an oversized balisong. A variation of this sword is Sechs´ weapon, the Titan Blade.
• TUNED Pistol: a handgun that fires armor-piercing HE rounds. It has two firing modes: single shot and three-round burst. It's Alita's sidearm.
• TUNED Heavy Rifle: a powerful rifle/cannon that can be used as an assault rifle or a sniper rifle.
• Knives (Combat, CQC, Survival, Throwing)
• Grenades (Fragmentation, Smoke, Flashbangs, Incendiary, EMP)
• Mobile unit: a single-wheeled motorcycle used by TUNED agents as a transport vehicle. It can be controlled manually by the agent or by remote control by Tiphares. The operator's voice can be projected from the mobile unit.
• Arachno: a mobile spider based grenade, arachnos have the ability to extend a silk tripwire from their abdomens. This allows the creation of easily set-up, quick-moving traps.
• Missile Bee: a bee-shaped homing missile that has its own target selection system.
• Lice probes: a miniature machine that scans the ground for traps. Traps can then be marked on Alita’s vision.
• Firefly (Enkera): the firefly is a small flying insectoid robot which detonates into a five-second spherical plasma burst. Its applications include tunnel digging and close combat utility.
• Laser bug: converts communication into a relay laser to Tiphares in the presence of interfering terrain.
• Support System Gabriel: an unmanned low-orbit satellite that is laser equipped and can transport supplies, equipment or weapons to Alita. It also serves as the communication link between Alita and Tiphares.
• Solenoid Quench Gun: a high powered electromagnetic gun that floats to minimize recoil. Receives a power charge directly from Gabriel and fires a solenoid slug at 5 km/s, or roughly 11,000 miles per hour.
• Mono-molecular wire: a wire that is only a few atoms wide, leading to a finer edge than any existing knife. It also has a tensile strength of 2.4 tons, and since it's basically one long molecule, is almost completely invisible to the naked eye.

Imaginos Body

During late events in Battle Angel Alita, or early in Battle Angel Alita: Last Order, Desty Nova gives Alita a new body, after destroying her with a bomb. This body relies on nanomachines even more than the Tuned Body, is said to mimic the human body down to the cellular level, and is thus a nanomachine based organism. The capabilities of this body differ between the original series and the Last Order retelling.

The Imaginos: Battle Angel

While both bodies had strength and speed equal to the Berserker body, the original Imaginos body lacked the color-changing and shape-altering abilities of the Last Order version, and was also missing the metal bands under the eyes that had been present since the Motorball body. However, this version had abilities that made it arguably the most powerful body of all.

• Plasma Jet: The Berserker body's ability to create plasma and manipulate electromagnetic energy was also a standard feature of the Imaginos, and worked in the same way.

• Accelerator: Installed by Desty Nova, the accelerator allowed Alita's brain to function 150 times faster than normal, changing her perception of time, allowing her to think, move and react in mere milliseconds. A plasma jet could be used as a brake, slowing her down when in movement. Alita returns to her normal perception of time when the accelerator is no longer needed.

The Imaginos: Last Order

This version of the Imaginos does not have the accelerator. It can, however, match Alita's thoughts, and change it's coloring scheme and shape to better suit Alita.

• Plasma Torch: Unlike the Berserker Body, which came equipped with plasma making organs, Alita had to make the Imaginos produce plasma through sheer force of will. This caused Alita no end of trouble, and she eventually had to put herself in mortal danger just so she could gain the ability to create plasma by activating her latent survival instincts. Unlike the Berserker body, which only produced a single small jet of plasma for a brief time, the Imaginos can create a long-sustaining torch of plasma of various lengths, coming off of each finger. The effect of this has also given this move the name "plasma claw".

• Damascus Blades: Alita's favorite weapon suffered from extreme metal fatigue in the year it took for Nova to resurrect Alita, so he ended up using it as an ingredient in the Imaginos body. This initially upset Alita to no end, but she later learned in her fight with Toji that she could replicate the Damascus Blade, growing two of them out of her arms as elbow blades, which suits Alita's fighting style well.

Doctor Ido

Daisuke Ido, more comonly known as Doctor or Doc Ido is Ex-Tipheran citezen turned Cyborg Doctor. Doctor Ido is known to be a kind man with considerrable skill in cyborg repairs and maintence. This skill was used for great use when Ido found the remains of Alita's body in a junk yard in the Scrap Yard city. Dcotor Ido rebuilt Alita's with a new cyborg body. What Alita didnt know was, that her new body was made from parts of cyborg criminals Ido killed in his secret life as a Hunter-Warrior.

Ido's skill's didnt pay off in the long run. Scientist Desty Nova wanted to recruit Ido for his skills with cyborgs. Ido went to Nova's lab in the badlands only to discover that Nova was an Ex-Tiphares citezen gone mad. Ido was killed in battle against Zapan who was given alita former Berserker body by Nova. However Nova promised to bring Ido back to life for Alita's sake (and fury). Nova did keep good on his promise but with a small  catch. He told Ido the secret of Tiphares: All adult tiphereans had brain chips instead of Brains. Ido was near the brink of insanity, and decided to erase his memory to forget the terrible truth. Ido forgot everything of his last life, including Alita.

*Speacil Info* Doc Idos dangerous life as a Warrior-Hunter means he must be prepared to handle all sorts of criminals. To give him the advantage in battle Ido uses a speacil weapon called the rocket hammer. The rocket hammer is a long handled hammer that comes to a sharp point at the other end is, a rocket. The rocket can be activated by a trigger on the handle and gives the weilder a super sonic boost to there swing!

Desty Nova

 

Desty Nova like Ido left Tiphareas, except for totaly difrent reasons. Nova left Tiphares to perform his hellish experiments which were strickly forbiden in the floating city. Nova lived in the Scrap Yard for some time raising his son Kaos. After that Nova moved to the badlands were he preformed hellish expeirments, which turned him a little....mad.

Desty Nova is notorious fo giving people new bodies. His work includes Makaku's maggot body, Zapans beserker body, and Alita igiminos body. Nova is a speacilist in nano-technology and his ultimate goal: the conquest of Karma!

Nova first meet Alita at his labratory in the badlands. Alita had come looking for Ido only to discover he had been killed fighting Zapan. Desty had given Zapan the pwerfull Beserker body, but he had underestimated the power that the body had. Zapan destoryed Nova's lab and would have destoyed Nova as well if he didnt have the restorer bots inside him.

Alita also tryed to kill Nova whens she came to his lab and discovered Ido had been killed. Desty saved himself by promising  to bring Ido back to life through nano-technology. Alita couldntstay for the operation thought, since she had to go face Zapan back in the Scrap Yard. Meanwhile Nova relocated to an even larger labratory, safe and secret from Tiphares and Alita, which he named the Granite Inn.

Nova performed the operation on Ido as prommised, but bringing someone back to lfe is never enouph for him, Nova also revealed to Ido the Secret of Tiphaes, the fact that, inside every adult Tiphareans head is not a brain, but a brain chip! The thought drove Ido to the brink of Insanity and He erased his memory before anything more could be done.

Desty Nova went on perfomring his expirments free of interuption inside his hidden lab. Years went by before and Alita was able to look for Ido.

Figure Four/ Fogia

 

Figure four is young man who comes from a fishing village called Alhambra, he left the villege to see Tipharres. Figure wound up in the Scrap Yard but it didnt suit him much. He need to earn a few credits before he returned home so he joined the rail mercinaries, that's where he met Alita. They didnt get off to a good start, but they were forced to band together and fight against one of Barjacks most powerful battalions: the "Boiling Metal". Some where is the battle Alita and Figure fell in love. But Alita was stilled a Tuned agent and her loyalties lied with Tiphares, she promised she would come visit Figure in his village...Some day.

 

 

Zapan

   Zapan, another Hunter-warrior, never liked Alita since the first time he met her in the first Kansas bar with Doctor Ido. Alita allways showed him up and his dislike soon turned to a violent anger.

Zapan once a Hunter-Warrior became the hunted when he killed his wife Sara who was the daughter of legendary Hunter-Warrior Murdock the master. Murdock hunted Zapan down and killed him or so he thought. Proffesors Nova's assistant (Bazarld) recovered Zapan's brain and brought it back to Nova's lab.

When Desty Nova equiped Zapan with the powerful beserker body (in beserker mode) Zapan went all out on the Scrap Yard in search of Alita, his karma. Not even the factory defenses could stop him. Zapan finnaly confronted Alita atop the remains of Ido cyborg repair shop. Alita was barley able to defeat Zapan, let alone stay alive herself. But this time Zapan was truly dead.

 

Koyami

Koyami was only a few months old when Alita fisrt met her in the Kansas bar and she was barley talking (about three) when Alita defeated Zapan and became a Tuned agent.

They met up agian years later when Alita was on a mission as a Tuned agent. This time it was Koyami who left, to join Barjack. She traveled along with Den and his soldiers along with her cyber dog furry. She accompanied Den on his final charge into the heart of the Scrap Yard, but he left her behind, before he died, to tell his story.

Den

Den is another one of Profesor Desty Nova's creations. He was Chaos's alter ego, his darker side. He is the child of Cahos's uncontrolable rage. When Nova discovered Den's exsitance inside Chaos he gave him a body of his own, installing a ERP transmitter into chaos's heart to keep Den alive.Den travled the badlands, learning the ways of the warrior.

Den got a bigger body that equeld his rage. After a while Den organized a rebel army knowm as "Bar Jack". He lead countless campiagns across the bad lands agianst Tiphares with a ruthless force.  He died along with most of his men at the battle in the Scrap Yard.

Shumaria

Shumaria is the niave younger sister of Motorball chamipon Jashuagn. She is very proud of her brother and is allways looking to please him. This is why she brought doctor Ido to their house int he Scrap Yard. Together she and Ido took care of Jashugan. Being a cyborg doctor, I

After Jashugan died in his finnal Motorball match,  Shumaria stayed with Ido,living with him and his freind inside the Scrap Yard

Jashugan

 

Jashugan is the undefeated champion of Motorball. Jashugan's brain was rebuilt by Proffesor Nova which makes him even better.

Ido alied with Jashugan to get back Alita. He knew the only way to get Alita back from Motorball was if she was completly defeated, a feat only a Champion is capable of. Jashugan was dying even with his extensive surgey, the flatline attacks became more and more frequent. Jashugan could only aford one more match, the Motorball championship match. Alita assembled a team of Motorballist's to fight Agianst Jashugan they included: No. 50 Tigel, No. 7 Zafal Takie ("Crimson wind"),  No. 88 Ajakutty ("Crusher"), and No. 1 Armblessed ("Caligula"). Each member was doomed to fate agianst Jahugans superior skill, he eaily dispatched to team in under a minute. But he left Alita alive as he had promised Doctor Ido. I in a finnal battle Jashugan versed Alita in single combat. Jashugan was nearly defeated when he gave Alita the winning blow punching clear through her chest. Jashugan died on the Motorball curcuit still undefeated.

Characters

Sechs

Sech is one of the Tuned AR 2 series known by her superiors as AR-6. But since most or all of her superiors were killed when Nova returned to Tiphares, she took it the liberty of renaming herself "Sechs". Sechs is a proud warrior who earns to live for herself, but she didnt feel she could do that as long as the orginal still lived. Sechs challenged her sisters in battle killing them all except two: AR-11 and AR-12. After that her warm up Sechs went on to Tiphares to seek out Alita, to kill her, and be able to live as herself.

Sechs found Alita and quickly challenged her to a duel as she had done to the other AR units. But Sechs wasnt completly ready for the two hundred pluss year old Panzer Knust master. Even with her own fighting style she personally developed, called Sechster Angriff Sech fell was defeated and her body mostly destroyed. Alita showed mercy on Sechs and left her with Proffesor Nova and Ar-11 and 12.

After the battl, since she was now only a head and an upper body, completly imobilized, Sechs AR sister units Elf (AR-11) and Zwolf (AR-12) carried her around as they followed along with Dest Nova. Sech was caried around like this until they found Alita's tuned doll body in the trash, and snaped in Sechs brain chip.

Sechs wasnt immediatley happy in her new mini body, but she excepted it reluctantly and became alita sidekick, often riding on her shoulder. Sechs went along with Dest Nova, Elf , Zwolf, and Alita to the space city of Kethres. As the situation got more complicated Sechs began to reliaze that her current body, which had faired preaty well agianst the odds up until then, wouldnt be big enougph for their upcoming challenge: the Z.O.T turrnoment. Initially beacuse of her size, Sech was forced to watch from the sidelines using her combat eprtise to be an anouncer, but , much to her delight, a new body was made for her and she lead the Space Angels into battle in Alitas.

Jim Roscoe

Jim Roscoe was a prodigy and exceled in science and reaserch at at the young age of seventeen. This was what had intrested Proffesor Desty Nova when he returned to Tiphares. Nova invited Jim to his lab while he recreated Alita with the Imagions body. Jim had never meet anyone quite like Desty Nova and was very intrested in his research. Nova told Jim stories about his life on the Surface and about Alita.

Just before Alita was reborn, Nova hacked the Tiphares broadcating network and revealed the secret of Tiphares live. Everyone went mad and Jim took it upon himself to organize the juvenile's agianst the adults. After things had settled enouph Jim went to see Desty Nova. He wanted to know if what Nova had said about the brain chips was true, to find out for sure, Jim killed the proffesor, and found out for himself. After killing Nova, Jim then took his brain chips.

Jim was a beliver that the brain was what made people Human, and he envisioned a new Tiphares where there were no brain chips. But first he had to protect the 235 that still had brains and get rid of the surviving adults, sane or not. Do protect the children Jim concieved plans for a giant three foot tall robot named: Sachumodo! Jim highjacked into the M.I.B automated factory and fed it the plans for the colasal robot.

Jim assembled a team of Juveniles to go with him to the M.I.B core to get the robot and to find out more about how Tiphares worked deep down inside. Jim wasnt the only one with plans to break into M.I.B, A group of adults was also was inside M.I.B core, lead by none other than Jims Child care manager Casey Roscoe. Casey and his possey, half insane an then some, confronted. Jim and his freinds atop the catwalks of the giant M.I.B core. Suddenly a battle broke out and the adults mercilessly slaughtered the children, and Jim barley escaped deeper into the core twoards his giant robot protecter.

Badly wounded and prosued by the adults, Jim finally reached the center of M.I.B. He enter Proffesor Nova's DNA records into the DNA databank to find out about why such intelect heretics were created; by flaw or on purpose. The answer sent him over the deep end. He and Desty Nova among others, were part of a project called G.E.N.E, created 154 years ago by Ladder. The Genetic-Engineering Nurtured Hyper-Intelligence project employed the Tiphares DNA organ to generate superior intellect. Geniuses are intrinsically dangerous, but Tiphares was a safely isolated test site. Nintey-nine percent were unstable. They were fated to either comit suicide or be sentaced as genetically predisposed criminals. Only four amound the remaining one percent outwitted the M.I.B and survived a variety of hardships to arrive in Kethres.

Jim went crazy and activated Sachumundo, but not as the childrens protecter as was originally intended, but as a destroyer to anialate them along with the rest of Tiphares, which Jim now viewed as a trash heap.

Ping Wu

Ping Wu's life has always been nothing but trouble. A hacker by profesion, Ping got into trouble in his early days with the Ladder assistant chairman Aga Mbadi. Having los his freinds, his aim in life. He was badly damaged, and had grown despondent twoard the human world. Landa Namna, the robot leader of Robo-asyl, took him in and let him live among his robot outcasts. Under one condition: never interfere with the human world agian! In return Ping taught them human language, and gave them names. Ping enjoyed himself in Robo-asyl teaching the robots and hacking Kethres, that is, until a beautiful cyborg wariorr needed rescuing.

Ping had hacked into the Kethres surveilence system and had been whatching Alita and comapany as they made there way insi=de the orbital elevator to Kethres. When the trio arived and got into trouble with Ping Wu's arch enemy the Trinidad A.K.A Aga Mbadi, Ping Wu resqued them, specically Alita, before they burned up in the Earths atmosphere.

Aga Mbadi aka "Trinidad"

Aga Mbadi is the hitechnolat minister and ladder assistant chairman. Inside his skull, Aga has 3 bio chips from the 3 remaining survivors of the G.E.N.E project, thus his nickname Trinidad. Aga is a hero in Kethres thanks.

Victor Byron.

        Victor Byron is the leader of the immortal Cognate, a secret society of vampires who have been around for many centries. Victor himself dates back to the mideval ages, where he once fought in the crusades. He was caputred during the war and hung. When his body was discarded into a body pit he became a vampire *Note: This part is very difficult to understand in te graphic novel, but I am assuming Victor was nota  vampire during the times he fought in the cursades beacuse the symbol is a cross of the christian armies. After comming out of the pit, Victor has fangs so I am assuming he became a vampire some how inside the pit.* After comming out of the pit and comming to term with being a vampire, Victor vowed to hide in the shadows and hunt humankind until Judgement. Victor eventually became part of the Society. In 1989 Victor was sent by the Society to recruit a fellow vampire named Vilma (Caerula Sanguis), known by her code name Blue Dragon Princess who was living among te Chinese Mafia. Victor defeateed her and She eventually became his wife. When Impact Winter came. Victor was leader of the Cognate and ws one of only five vampires left, te others included his Wife Vilma, Jacco, Zapolska and Morse. Victor belived tat the age of the Cognate was upon them and they traveled the snowy globe going from continet looking for surving humans to feast on. When they came to New York they continued to travel for fours years until they eventually came to Washington D.C.. One day Vilma dissapered and never returned. Victor became depressed and was going to commit suicide when Vilma returned. Vilma told Victor a band of Humans who had rescued her and were living in a shelter near by. Vilma Convinced Victor to go meet with the humans and make peace. However when they reached the shelter, Victors suspisouns were confirmned. The truce was a trick to lure in the vampires and kill them. Victor knew this te entire time, but knew his wife wouldnt belive him unless she saw it first hand. In Anger Victor retaliated by             Bellow: Victor is his Sacle Mail form.

killing everyone in the shelter except for the Leader Keiran Farrell and his son John after Vilma pleaded for there lives. After the masasacre in the shelte and short one member, Zapolska who was killed in the Shelter.
Victor and the remainnig Cognate traveled for another fifty years until they came to St. Louis, where tey agani settled. One day a young warrior came, dragging Morse body, his name was Arthur Farrell. Arthur left with Vilma and they never returned. That same day Jacco also dissapered. Distraught and angry, Victor left that night in search of Vilma. While in the woods, Victor came across a young girl playing a flute (Haruka). Haruka reconginized Victor and explained how Vilma wanted him to make peace with te humans. Victor realized the Vilma had again be-freinded humans. In a fit of Rage Victor bit the Haruka in her throat, rearly bitting throuhh her entire neck. Victor left the girl in an "Altered Shock" and retuned to his camp to await Vilma. The Following day Vilma retruned, Victor was fixing her tea, when she suddenly stabbed him through the back. Vilma continued to attack Victor and was about to kill him when Victor came to his senses and let his rage take command of him. He drew his sword and fought Vilma. In the enssuing battle realized he could not turn his wife to the fact te the humans could never be trusted and that the age of  Cognate was upon them. The battle was intense, the force of the blows enough to simulate Victor to transform into his Sacle Mail body! A speacil ability Victor developed from several ultered shocks , which a long lived Cognate can undergo. In his Sacle Mail  body, Victor had the upper hand and evenutally ran Vilma through with his blade. Victor thought he won but was suddenly blinded by the Sun which broke through the clouds for the first time in decades. Momentrarily blinded, Victor did not see Vilma pull the sword from her chest and she ran it through Victor giving hima  fatal blow. As he lay on the Ice, he made Vilma promise to live forever. His body plunged into the Icy river where he died.                                                                         

Caerula Sanguis

Born in 1808 A.D. during the Habsburg Monarchy in Transylvania. She became a vampitre at an early age and left her homeworld to live a care freelife  She lived this way for over a hundred years until on a spring night in hong kong, where she was living under the name Qing-Long Wei-ji (meaning Blue Dragon) as part of te chinnese Mafia, she Met Victor Byron: a finnal obstacle in a long line of assassins from te society that had come to recruit her.  Caerula thought she could destroy him with just ten powerful barehanded attacks. After nine blows Victor remained unshaken, pride woudlnt allow her to use her secret weapon, so she surreneded to him. She eventually became his wife and switched her name to Vilma.

When Ixchel smashed into the Earth creatin impact Winter Vilma her lover Victor and ther companions Jacco, Zapolska and Morse were the only cognate still living on Earth. Togeter tey travled around the globe, crosing the frozen oceans in search of human blood and fresh food. Eventually they came to what had once been New York city. Four years came and went, one day while vilma was out alone she was attacked  by a group of mutant humans (I think Barzarld may be of the sam speicies). Se had been reckles in te battle and fell of a cliff where she was severly wounded. However a young boy found her and brang her back toa shelter where he anda group of about 60 humans were living.

                                         

Mr. Gonzo: A former cyber veterinarian who now runs a Japanese food shack, Gonzu is the closest friend that Ido has in the Scrapyard and is shown visiting Ido at his clinic. He saves Ido after the latter is almost killed by Makaku, and under Ido’s direction, transfers Alita from her first cyborg body into the Berserker Body. Gonzu also helps Ido transplant Hugo’s head onto a cyborg body. A regular at Bar Kansas, Gonzu is the first person killed by Zapan when he goes to Bar New Kansas in the Berserker Body in search of Alita. The side story “The Holy Night” reveals that six years before Ido found Alita, he saved Gonzu’s life when he found him near death in the street. At this time, Gonzu’s food shack was a cart that he pulled. Gonzu aids Ido, who has been rendered homeless, by hosting him and Carol and getting him in touch with the cyberphysician Gauss. Gonzu makes a brief appearance in the OVA, in which he is known as Gonz.

Kayna: Kayna is doctor Ido's assistant after he moves out to Farm 21, she also knows Capoeira. Behind Ido's back Kayna wards of people who remeber Ido from his past life, like Alita.

Pam and Nola: Pam is short and shy, Nola is tall and appointed. Normally they would never have meet. But things were anything but normal when Desty Nova returned to Tiphares and revealed its well kept secret. Nola and Pam meet and became friends, well more partners on the inside the kids encampment in Tiphares. Because of their differences, their relationship may not have lasted long, if they hadn't meet Alita.

Meeting Alita changed their views on the world and what it meant to be human. Ultimately they helped reunite Tiphares with itself and the Surface. It is also presumed that they went on to become life long friends.

Deckman 100: Probably the only Deckman you could ever learn to love, Deckman one hundred was given to Alita by Desty Nova who speacily remodeled it. He is quite sensitive but just as useful, he is equipped with spare Imaginos body cells and a complete maintenance system.

Eelai and Bazarld: Eelai and Bazarld are Nova's two assistants who help carry out his experiments. Don't be fooled by Eelai's look, she has a vicious bite (literally: BAA vol 5 page 68 & 69). Besides being assistants they also served as body guards for Nova. Thanks to Nova's nano technology restorer robots, both assistants could heal life threaing damage to a cellular level.  Both were killed by alita in volume nine due to high-pressure water.

Murdok the dog master: Murdok was a legendary Hunter-Warrior. His daughter Sara was the wife of Zapan until one day Zapan went insane and killed her. Murdok has four dogs: Valor, Glory, Hubris, and Fury. Murdok hunted Zpan down for two years before he tracked him down to the Scrap Yard. With Alita as bait, Murdok cornered Zapan with his four dogs who ripped him to pieces. Zapan's brain was the only salvable piece of  his body that remained realitivley intact...

....Which made it a perfect test subject for Desty Nova. Desty Nova repaired Zapans brain from a level seven damage, back to a level three. Nova then gave Zapan Alita's old Beserker body, a terrible mistake! Zapan returned to the Scrap Yard to find Alita. Murdok was stunned to find Zapan was still alive, and in a more powerfull bod. Never the less Zapan was his prey and he would hunt Zapan to the end of the Earth to make his pay for killing Sara. Murdock attacked with three of his dogs, while the forth Furry helped Koyami, her Dad and shumaria escape from danger. Murdok wouldnt admit defeat even agianst Zapan in the Berserker body. Zapan easily defeated Murdoks dogs, but before he could kill Murdok the Hunter-Warrior pulled a grenade in a vain attempt to end the insane mans miserable life.

Furry was Murdoks only surviving dog who has become Koyami's freind in the following years.

Mr. Buick: Mr Buick can be largely acredited for photographing Bar Jacks crusade throught the badlands in its five year war agians Tiphares. Before joining Bar Jack Mr. Buick was a serial killer,  he kept this a secret untila bounty was placed on his head. After fleeing the Scrap Yard Mr. Buick was captured by Bar Jack. He told them that he was a reporter for the Scrap Yard, so they made him a "speacil prisoner" and he was ordered to record Bar Jacks battles. For the next three years Mr. Buick photographed everything from Himself killing Deckman, to cyborg rockets, interveiws with soldiers including Den and documetry on the Heng.

Mr. Buik became a new man, forgeting his past life and formed a particular fond frendship with Koyami and her dog fury. Both were present at its Bar Jacks last battle with there new anti-Tiphares weapon: Heng! When Abadon fired at and destroyed the Heng, Mr. Buik was right there to Photograph it. Tuned agent AR 6 came to the scene to clean up the rest of Bar Jack troops around the wreckage. Seeing AR 6 recindled memories of of Mr. Buicks past life. Mr. Buick was transfixed by AR 6's beauty and tryed to get an interveiw from her. She turned and shot him with a supersonic armor-piercing round, Mr. Buick didnt die instantly and his death wasnt in vain at all. Mr. Buick had distracted AR 6 from her original target, Koyami, and gave Koyamis dog Furry the perfet chance to take the Tuned Agent out. Mr. Buick died minutes later in Koyamis arms.

Koyami latter published a book on the war with Mr. Buicks photos as well as her writing.

Umba and Ed: Umba was Alita's technitian and Ed was her coach during her days in the Motorball league. Together the formed an almost unbeatable team. Ed was once a motorball contestant and a rival of the motorball champion Jashugan when he was still a rookie. Then in a big accident Both he and Jashugan were injured, but Ed more severly. Ed returned o the curcuit but his nervous system reaction wasnt up to speed,  so he was forced to quit. Jashugan went on to become the grand champion.

Lou Collins: Lou Collins was Alitas Tuned operator in Tiphares when she was a Tuned agent (AR-1). Lou was warm and freindly person who was allways looking out for Alita even if she was very far away and veryhigh up. In there whole time as partners they neve rmeet but that didnt stop them from becoming freind.

Their relationship didnt start off the way it ended. Alita found Lou anoying and Lou found Alita to be a pain in the butt and a stuborn person. But throught their missions, they eventually worked out their diffrences which is exactly why she was chossen. When

Zazie and Queen Limeria: Zazie is the loyal escort/bodygaurd of Queen Limeria of the Mars kingdom. Zazie had sworn aligance to the young queen whenshe (the queen) was but an infant. Ever since, Zazie followed the queen making sure she was safe at all times.Limeria became quen when her father was kille.

There has been a  civil war on mars that had been raging ever since since the planet was first settled, there a now five major oposong forces: MRH or Mars republik Heer, Mars Republic Army, which was founded by Republique venus to unify Mars and make it join Venus, The MFB or Mars front der Befreien, which was funded by the Jupiter Union to unify Mars and make it join Jupiter, The Mars kingdom parliment ruled by Queen Limeria which is largely backed by Ladder in an attempt to make a constitutional monarchy. and the Neo Third Reich Division which is an emergent group calling itself the "Last Battalion" which has plans to unify Mars, resurect theThird Riech and conquer the whole galaxy.

With so much war, Queen Limeria, representing the Mars Kindom parliment, along with Minister Jo Hann, General Yazuji and Zazie went to the Ladder council (Which ironically was part of the problem) as speacily invited guests of Aga Mbadi, the Hitechnolant minister and Ladder assistant chairmen.

After speaking with the two hundred and tweenty two year old assistant chairmen, The visiting Martians planned to rendevous at Leviathan 1 with the New Order Ladder support corps which would return with them to Mars and help them take back the Olympus spaceport from the Neo Third Reich.

While in their spaceship ( Samoyed 1) on their short journey to the rendevous point at Leviathan 1, the crew noticed a slight weight diffrence in the ship. Zazie went to check it out only to discover two stoaways: Alita and Ping Wu. Any threat to Queen Limeria was an enemy of Zazie. She quickly disabled Ping Wu but Alita was a diffrent story. Even in a makeshift spacesuit and using techniques that are mostly gravity based, Alita was able to hold her own agianst Zazie.

Queen Limeria stoped the fight before anyone was seriously hurt, and allowed Alita an Ping Wu to stay on board the ship to the their destination in the battle rooms aboard the Leviathan 1.

Elf and Zwolf: Elf and Zwolf also are former Tuned agents AR 11 and twelve. After G.I.B was wiped out the pair of look alikes followed Desty Nova where they became his unofficial gaurds. They never fight a battle they cant win and teamwork is there favorite strategy. They are the only two AR units that AR 6 (Sechs) didnt kill (probably beacuse they ran away). Elf an Zwolf join Alita in the Z.O.T turnoment along with Sechs to try to get there beloved Proffesor back.

Kimpi and Kimpo: In Last Order, Kimpi and Kimpo are respectively, Elf and Zwölf’s TR-55 units, which fulfill the critical purpose of housing their brain chips. How and when they acquired and adopted them for this purpose is not known, as they already have them when they appear with Desty Nova. Kimpo and Kimpi mirror their masters' moods with their facial expressions, appearing agitated or teary-eyed depending on the circumstances. Their use, along with Sechs’ continued use of the interactive interface doll, makes Alita the only fighting member of the Space Angels who is not using such a backup. Kimpi and Kimpo are normally perched on their masters' shoulders and have not yet been seen flying around. They are not stuck there however, as during Round 2 of the Z.O.T.T., Zwölf is able to pick up and recover Kimpi after Elf blows her head off with a .500 caliber revolver as a result of Springfoot Jack’s hypnosis.

Colonel Payne: Although he was only alive in the manga (LO volume 4) for a total of six pages (I think that may be a record), even after Alita delivered the body shatteing electromagnetic punch, Colonel Paynes geist lives on inside her head haunting her for thee next to mangas, making her question her every move. Payne was the owner of a juvenile infatry school. Which sent children to their graves as target pratice for ruthless mercinaries.

Kimji: Kimji appears as Alita’s pet after her fourth straight motorball victory. When she got him is not revealed, but she did not have him when Hugo was still alive. He has a pair of feet, a single eye, string-like tail, and no visible mouth. Flight is provided by spinning his ears like a propeller. Kimji has flown away to land on Shumira’s finger twice, creating a small bone of contention between them because Shumira covets him and has had to return him each time. She asks if she can have him if Alita loses her arm wrestling match with Jashugan, as Alita has literally offered her heart as the stakes. Unknown to Alita, Kimji is actually one of a thousand TR-55 artificial life forms sent to the surface by the GIB to scout for candidates for its TUNED project. The Gunnm: Gaiden side story “The Holy Night” reveals that these units were deployed a year before Ido found Alita in the Tiphares junkyard. Kimji recorded Alita’s actions for two years, from her motorball career up through her fight with Zapan in his Berserker Body incarnation. He is revealed for what he is by Bigott Eizenburg when he recruits Alita to become a member of the TUNED, and is subsequently squashed flat by her. However, this squashing scene only happened in Alita's head, and Kimji's eventual fate is unknown.

Fury: Fury is one of Murdock the Dog Master’s cyborg dogs, and appears to be modeled along the lines of a bloodhound. He is the only dog whom a 2 year old Koyomi latches onto as “Doo Fan”, what she calls all dogs she comes across after Duke Fang. He is assigned by Murdock to protect Koyomi and Shumira when Zapan wreaks havoc on Bar New Kansas in the Berserker Body, and is thus the only one of the four dogs to escape alive. Fury stays with Koyomi and her father, joining her when she runs away at age 13 to see Kaos by hitching a ride with a caravan. Fury now spends much of his time sleeping, but he still possesses some of his old instincts, as he quickly kills one of Sentinel’s bandits who is threatening Koyomi. Fury recognizes Alita when she saves Koyomi from the bandits, even though he has not seen her in 11 years. He accompanies Koyomi when she joins the Barjack, and is with her and the Heng when it fires on on Tiphares. Fury realizes that AR-10 is not Alita, and after the Heng is destroyed by the Tipharean superweapon Abaddon, destroys a flock of missile bees unleashed by AR-10 on the survivors. His first attack on AR-10 when she threatens Koyomi fails, but while AR-10 is distracted by asking the GIB to switch her ammunition over to anti-personnel rounds to deal with Buick, Fury is able to grab her around the neck and use his weight to throw her into a pile of molten metal, killing her but also dying in the process.

Yolg: A nervous man with a tendency to stutter, Yolg befriends Figure Four when the latter serves as a rail mercenary on Factory Train 12. He had previously served as a rail mercenary with his friends, being the only one to re-sign in order to see his family at Factory Farm 22, the train’s destination. Suffering a broken leg during Knucklehead’s ambush of the train, he is the only other rail mercenary survivor along with Figure. Yolg accompanies Alita all the way to the Boiling Metal battalion’s base, where he is captured by the Barjack, but ends up saving Col. Bozzle’s life as Alita is about to stab him with her Damascus Blade. Yolg reveals that his actions result from his cowardice and overwhelming desire for security, but Bozzle’s treatment of Alita, the apparent death of Figure, and the revelation that the Boiling Metal is on its way to attack Factory Farm 22 where his family is, make him rethink his actions. Bozzle turns Yolg into a socket soldier and sends him to kill Alita and Figure after Knucklehead kidnaps her and sabotages the battalion. Yolg however turns on Bozzle and has his body detonated, sustaining fatal injuries. He begs Figure and Alita for forgiveness before dying.

Barzarld: Barzarld is a very large, somewhat odd looking man who is Nova’s assistant. He does not have any special abilities aside from his immense physical strength and blind devotion to Nova. Barzarld was almost killed along with Nova when the Den aspect of Kaos’ personality took control of him when he was 15-16 years old. Barzarld does not speak much, but seems to instinctively know what Nova wants of him. He performs basic tasks such as giving Nova his flan servings and handing him tools, and acts as a driver when Nova leaves the Scrapyard after unleashing Zapan in the Berserker Body. Like Nova and Eelai, he has been injected with restorer nanomachines, making him near immortal, and has come back to life after being killed by Alita a few times. She finally kills him by throwing him into a high pressure water barrier that Nova triggers to effect his escape from her in the Granite Inn. It is later revealed in Battle Angel Alita: Last Order the Barzarld is a surviving mutant human a sub speacies that appered on Earth during Impact Winter.

 Bigott Eizenburg (Chief Biggot): The stern, no-nonsense chief of the GIB, Bigott intervenes just before Alita’s brain is destroyed for committing a Class A offense to recruit her for the TUNED project. Although the GIB has a team of operators who provide logistical, intelligence, and technical support, he personally monitors and oversees Alita’s operations and actions. Alita’s independent attitude and willingness to disobey orders frustrate Bigott. In order to reduce her rebelliousness, he brings in Dr. Russell and Lou Collins as people whom she can warm up to. While escorting Lou to the GIB on her first day through a back stairwell, she pulls a gun on him as she thinks that he plans to force himself on her, but Bigott reveals that he is homosexual and has no interest in her.

More than a week after Alita duels Den, Bigott dismisses Dr. Russell for his opposition to replacing Alita with the TUNED AR series. When AR-2 confronts Alita, he reveals that her value to the GIB was never more than a sample for creating the perfect series of combat androids that would be totally obedient. After Alita defeats AR-2, he has her continue with her original mission of apprehending Desty Nova with the promise that she can leave the TUNED after its completion. Bigott meanwhile has the rest of the AR series conduct anti-Barjack operations, and uses the Tipharean superweapon Abaddon to destroy the Barjack’s giant railway gun Heng. After Alita infiltrates the Granite Inn but gets trapped by Nova’s Ouroboros program, Bigott sells her out, offering her to Nova and inviting him back to Tiphares with Melchizedek and the Ladder’s approval. When the secret of Tiphares is revealed to Bigott, he slices off the top of his own head to see for himself. Seeing his own bio-chip brain, he goes insane, and is shortly after killed along with the rest of the GIB by the MIB. Bigott makes a brief appearance in the Gunnm: Gaiden side story “Homecoming” in which Alita is still a member of the TUNED.

Vector: Vector is first introduced because of his association with Hugo. He has known Hugo for three years, since the day Hugo came across his brother’s left hand being sold by one of his street dealers, and willingly traded it for his. The mention that he has been to Tiphares by Myra, one of his employees, and Hugo’s excitement over this, leads Vector to offer to send Hugo to Tiphares if he can put together 10 million chips. He also buys the illegal human parts such as spinal columns that Hugo steals. Three years after they meet, Vector has managed to procure six intermediate Factory tube supply routes as a result of reorganization by the Factory. He seeks Hugo out and offers him the management of one of these routes, a highly lucrative position, but Hugo turns him down. When he drops Hugo off, Zapan, who has been staking out Alita, realizes that Hugo may be connected to a string of recent spinal column thefts because of his association with Vector. Vector is confronted by Alita and Hugo in his office after they learn about the impossibility of reaching Tiphares from the surface from Ido. Vector reveals that he knowingly lied to Hugo, thinking that he would eventually give up over having to accumulate such a high sum of chips. He underestimated Hugo’s determination however, and thought he could change Hugo’s mind with the offer of the supply route. Vector then unleashes Zaariki, who he has hired as a bodyguard, on Alita and Hugo, but Alita makes short work of him. Vector escapes Alita’s wrath when Hugo goes mad and she chases after him.

Years later, Vector’s caravans are being ambushed by the Barjack. Unlike other bandits, they cannot be bought off, and Vector has had to put up with their attacks for five years. As the Barjack close in on Tiphares, he meets with Den at Factory Farm 15 in an attempt to broker a deal to protect his interests. Den however, orders Vector and his guards to be killed. Vector narrowly escapes death when Koyomi intervenes and suggests that he be sent back to the Scrapyard to warn its residents so that they have time to evacuate. The Factory pressures Vector into keeping silent, however. It is implied that the injuries he sustained were serious enough to confine him to a wheelchair. At the end of Battle Angel Alita, Vector and Kaos together bring peace to the world in the wake of the turmoil that ensues when Tiphares almost collapses and the factories shut down.

This section is all about Key Events in Battle Angel Alita. The Battle Angel Alita timeline is measured in ES: Era Sputnik, the standard dating time used in space. The first artificial satellte Sputnik was launched into space (1957) marks the first space year. Based on the period of Earth's revolution around the sun.

Cam Ranh Tragedy

Known as Operation Maulwurf (German for Mole), the Cam Ranh Tragedy was set up by the Jovian Intel Bureau, "the ultimate strike-to take down Melchizedek at the Orbital Ring"*. Caried out by Kammer Gruppe ( Officially a training school for armory gaurds, this squad covertly conducted wetwork, such as assassinations), the Secret unit of the Mauser School of Panzer Knust. The mission was Carried out by a Gezere Class,  Kammer Frau ("Chamerber Woman" female members of Kammer Gruppe) named Yoko Von Der Rasierklinge.

Yoko inflitrated Kethres and made her way into the Centeral Core. There, she inserted a Hardcard into an open slot. The cartridge contained an Electronic hallucinogen. It worked. The five starships under construction at the lagrange points spun out of control: Leviathan III turned to dust on the spot, Leviathan II, IV and V blasted off twoards Venus where Leviathan II was caught by an asteroid missle and blown up, Leviathan IV went off course into the sun and Leviathan V took a slingshot route around the sun, and was never seen agian. Only Leviathan I escaped calamity, thanks to the heroic measures of its crew. Melchizedek had a full on gestalt breakdown and neverfull recovered. Cummunication with Tiphares was severed from both the surface and Kethtres. This was one of the facators that led to the birth of Ladder.

Close to half a million people were dead or missing. The military mission was a success.  Then Yoko made a major blunder at the very end. During her escape in space, Yoko ran into Caerula, a free agent known as "Blue Widow" at the time. It isnt know what Caerula was doing out there. Yoko didnt stand a chance against her,  her only option was to try and face her down. Yoko tryed to open a line of retreat, when instead she should have self-destructed.

For the plan to succeed, the alliance between Erde and Venus had to fall apart. The plan was ruined since they knew Yoko was behind the operation: Jupiter moved fast to cover their ass. Operation Maulwurf was quickly labeled a Panzer Knust terrorist act and the major powers, under a cease-fire, turned upon Pazer Knust as their common enemy. The Panzer Knust schools were all destroyered and shut down. Yoko was caputred by the Blue Widow and brought before theEarth Orbital Alliance Military Tribunal and sentanced to Atmospheric Immolation.

Impact Winter ES Sputnik 55

It was the largest solar flare ever recorded, a magnetic super-storm that washed over Earth, paralyzing most electrical instrumenyts. And it was not long after that an asteroid with an estimated fourteen kilometers smashed into the Far East, along with multiple fragments dislodged by atmosphere entry. The impact shook the planet, blew away the ozone layer, and even tilted te Earths's Axis. The colossal tsunami that came next raged hundreds of kilometers inland. The vast asteroid, later named Ixchel, carved out a giant crater 230 kilometters in diameter and kicked up massive amounts of dust into the stratosphere. Thick clouds encompassed the entire planet, and soon the Earth frooze over. No one had seen such a snow. Winter had come...the long, cold, impact winter...

Tiphares/Zalem

Tiphares is the floating utopia above the Scrap Yard. No one knows by who or for what reason Tiphares was created, but some surface dwellers believe it may be a high-tech paradise. In actuallity, Tiphares is a tightly controlled city of rules and regulations. At age nineteen, all tipherean's undergo an initiation proccess in which thgeir brain is secretly removed and replaced by a brain chip!

Tiphares is controled by M.I.B (Medical Inspection Buera) which keeps the city running. The M.I.B is ran by a Super Computer called "Melchizedek". Inside the core of M.I.B is where every Tipherean is born. A DNA Organ is here and the keys on the Organ are combined in sequences, and that information is used to create a fertilized human egg. Also in the core is the DNA databank, which has data for everyone born in Tiphares for the last two hundred years from birth to death: Physical charecteristcs, intelegence, personality, and even criminal behavior.

Tiphares is roughly into three sections:

• Residential District

All citizens live here. They are encouraged to participate in sports, cultural events and accidemics- though scholarly pursuits are restricted to abstract feilds such as mathmematics and philosophy.

• Structural Section

The physical support of tiphares, this section includes all equipment necessary for the upkeep of society, such as power supplies, food-processing plants, and distibution networks.

• Medical Inspection Bureau Core

Seen from above, the M.I.B. occupies the central part of the concentric circles that shape tipharres. Citizens are nomally not permitted access tot his fully automated zone, which houses the Initiation Room, M.I.B. machines, an automated brain bio-room factory, the Mother machine, the DNA organ, Waste Managment, and the orbital elevator port.

Tiphares in Last Order

More had happened in Tiphares, in the week following Alitas death by Nova's doll bomb, then had ever happened in the Entire time she had spent in her years on the surface. Nova had accepted Melchizedek and the Ladder upper atmospher council's invotation back to Tiphareas, and he smuggled in some of Alitas brain matter for reaserch purposes while he was at it. Nova was only in Tiphares for a little while before he hacked into the Tipherean broadcast network. Broadcasting live, Nova cut open the skulls of three Tipherean adults and showed Tiphares that they had biochips instead of brains, which are taken out during the initiation process at age nineteen.

This act reveald M.I.B's dirtiest secret. All of Tiphares went mad: riots and fighting broke out. Tipahres broke into two sides: the surviving adults who, besides having gone insane, veiwed there brain chips as proff of their suppiriority over the surface dwellers. And the kids, who saw the adults as oppresors and believed that there brain was what made them human. Alita was able to reunite both sides by proving a brain-ship dosent make a person any less human. 

*Speacil Info* Tiphares may look like a sitting duck, hanging above the Scrap yard.But dont be fooled, Tiphares has a weapon of its own, a scalar electomagnetic weapon called: Abaddon! It is the super-defensive weapon of Tiphares. Normaly under the control of the tiphares central supercomputer Melchizedek. The Abaddon manipulates

Scrap yard

The Scarp Yard, which is called Scrap Iron City in the Japanese version, is the large city underneath Tiphares. The Scrap yard is built on the ruins of a megatropolis from ancient times. It is also the city where Doc Ido found Alita's body. The scrap yard is basically a city sprawling with crime and filth. The garbage from the floating utopian city Tiphares in dumped down upon the city. The junk has acuminated  into a large garbage mountain in the middle of the Scarp Yard. The Scrap Yard is home to mostly cyborgs but also humans. The Scrap Yard is run by the Factories which supply Tiphares with necessary goods. Huge tubes extend down from Tiphares to the Scrap Yard. Even thought the Scrap Yard may seem like a useless city, without it there would be no Tiphares.

The Factories

The Factories are the Tipherean presence on the surface. The factories exist on the outskirts of the Scrap Yard. They have nuclear powered trains which go out into the deserts and collect food and supplies from speacil farms. There are 29 farms and all are controlled by the factories. They bring the supplies back and then ship it to Tiphares via the giant tubes. In order to protect there trains, the factories hire mercenaries who protect the trains from outlaws who try to plunder the trains supplies.

Factories are literally "facilities for mnufacturing"' but' in the scrapyard, the word factory is also synonymous with "goverment". The factories serve as the administrative centers for the scrapyard's industrial complex, and exsist solely to benefit Tiphares. Most of th food and idustrial goods processed in the Scrapyard is sent to Tiphares via the factories. There are 11 administravie buildings in the Scrapyard. There are no people in the administrative centers, speacil cyborg units called Deckmen are used for customer service.

There is no police force in the Scrap Yard so the Factories put bounties on wanted criminals. Whoever aprhends or kills (ussually kills) the criminal gets the bounty. These people are Called Hunter-Warriors. The Kansass bar is a popular hangout spot for Hunter-Warrriors.

Star City

Star City, built on the western ruins, was built after Impact Winter under the direction of Arthur Farrell. The Sole purpose of the city was to launch a rocket into space, the first step to building a tower into space, from which mankind would colonize space. In the middle of the city was Centeral Tower, which held Melchizedek, the prophosizing computer. As the population grew, so did civil unrest, and a anti-space development  movment began.. In  188 ES, the prototype for the space tower was completed: A thin wire which connected Centeral Tower to a Space station. The succes was short lived: In 191, it was discovered that secret human expirimens were being conducted to create a drug-induced artificial hibernation for use in interplanetary flight, causing numerous patient deaths. Crackdowns were then inforced to reign in the anti-space development protests, which quickly turned them into riots, soon after the City plunged into Civil War.

Kethres

Kethres is the space city on the other end of the orbital elevator which holds Tiphares in the sky. Kethres it city where Ladder council meets. All Kethrean citizens. The Incubator was created to augment a public order system called "Unanimous". Unanimous, a cerebral security system. Every citizen has a nanomachine called the "peacekeeper" installed in their brains. Officially its a personal datalink- which allows citizens to access Melchizedek on the fly for any information they might want. But its real function is to enforce laws on the synaptic level. The peacekeeper spies on all synaptic activity. Criminal intent merits a shock to the brains pain center, good behavior a gentle jolt to the pleasure center.

From the Scrap Yard to Tiphares to the space city of Ketheres there are all types of organizations. This paragraph will give you the low down on the major ones.

Bar Jack

Bar Jack is a revolutionary group of cyborgs and humans alike. Led by the fearless Den who hasn't lost a fight to anyone (well almost), Bar Jack had a single mission: Raise Tiphares to the ground and start a new civilization. Bar Jack's exploits took place across the deserts around the Scrap Yard. They lead a revolutionary campaign against Tiphares and its allies. The captured 14 of the factories 29 farms and even captured one of it trains. In a final attack, Bar Jack attacked the Scrap Yard directly. Using the Heng (a giant train cannon) Bar Jack attempted to shoot Tiphares from the Sky. Ultimately the attack failed and so did the Crusade. Den along with most of Bar Jack was killed in this final battle marking the End of Bar Jack itself.

The Heng

The giant train cannon named Heng was one of Bar Jack's greatest achivments and most crippling failures, which triggered Bar Jack's defeat to Tiphares. Bar Jack built  the weapon from a stolen factory train in the badlands.

The train was completed in time for Bar Jacks finnal battle agianst the Tiphares ground forces just outside the Scrap Yard. The Heng was able to fire only one of its massive shells at Tiphares, but it was blocked by the sheilds around Tiphares. Tiphares shot back at the Heng with its own weapon: Abaddon, which destroyed the Heng instantly. The destruction of the Heng meant that Bar Jack no longer had the means  to Attack  Tiphares directly, and Den realized any more battles would be meaningless . Den ordered Bar Jack to disband, thus ending their five year war with Tiphares

LADDER upper atmosphere council

Ladder the upper atmosphere council is comprised of manyt goverments from across the Solar System including  Republique Venus, Jupiter system union and Earth Orbitrary Federation. So far there have been a recorded 1355 meetings.The Council holds meatings in Kethres, the space city on above tiphares via the orbital elevator. The council is lead by a man named Aga Mbadi A.K.A  the Trinidad who is the hightechnolat minister and Ladder assistant chairman.

G.I.B

The G.I.B. or Ground investigations Bureau is Tiphares's eyes and ears on the surface. Not Tipharen would dare go to the srurface to to do these speacil duties and no Deckman could perform such a task. So G.I.B sent out speacil TR-55 units (picture at left) to fnd canidates become tuned agents for Tiphares. Cheif of G.I.B  Bigott Eizebburg headed the operation andchoose its prime canadite: Alita. Alita refused at first be joined in hopes of seeing Ido agian. She became AR 1! But the project was a sham, at least on Alitas part. Alita was just a guinea pig for the real project. G.I.B recorded Alitas missions (10 years of combat training ) to make the mass produced AR sereis 2. Which were  clones of Alita but they woud take orders without fail, basicly they were Alita replacment's. The first AR unit (besides Alita) confronted Alita but was killed by Alita, and Help from her Tipherean operator Lou Collins. AR 6 who confronted Bar Jack and the Heng outside the Scrap Yard was killed by Koyomi's dog Furry. The rest were killed by and AR unit named Sech's, who killed challenged them in battle. There are only  two other  known AR 2 sereis units that survived: Ar-11 (Elf) and AR-12 (Zwolf). G.I.B ultimitley met its doom when Nova revelead the secret of Tiphares. G.I.B headquarters was attacked by M.I.B robots.

Z.O.T tournoment

It began as an expiriment to see how robots would fare agianst trained soldiers, the Z.O.T tournament is Ladders way of flushing out unwanted trouble. Since its creation, the Z.O.T has turned more into a rigged turnoment. Only two countries have ever won the tournoment in the 100 years Venus or Jupiter.

Beserker Body

"The Beserker was a weapon of terror sent into enemy territory to cause indicrminate destruction during the day's of the great stellar wars!*" -Doc Ido   

Doctor Ido's short speech (above) preaty much sums up the beserker body he found in a badly damaged and otherwise abandoned star ship from the old wars. The body has extreme power that can be as dangerous to its in user as it can to its targets, but this power is controlled by a speacil lock which contains the beserker power. Ido locked it away promosing never to use it. But when he found Alita, he saw that maybe the body could be of some use. So Ido gave it to Alita after her battle with Makaku. The body has variable skeletal mustles so it can be set to for both Male and Femal users.

But when Nova bought the body, he gave it to Zapan, and unlocked the beserker mode. When this mode is unlocked the body appers to melt (as Nova's assistant, Eelai put it). There are two cords that come from the body: a red one programmed to seek out a power supply and  a blue one to seek brain matter to fuse with. In beserker mode the user can accsess the full potential of the bodys powers which include: shape shifting by way of manipulating electromagnetic feilds, engery spheres of electrical energy and the ability of flight.*(BAA Angel of Redemption) 

Imaginos Body

  The Imaginos Body is Alita's greatest Cyborg body ever, and it was built by none other than proffesorDesty Nova using nano-technology. Alita's Beserker Body was made useing the Beserker Body as an example and fetures some of the same preliminary capabilities as the beserker body it can. Alita can chang the bodys color by thought alone and even use plasma. Just what limits can Alita reach with the Imaginos body? We'll just have to read Last Order to answer this question, but so far is t seems she can do some amazng things, just watch her battle agianst Sachumodo, she's come a long way since her days in the Scrap Yard.

Tuned AR project

The Tuned AR project was created under G.I.B and although it was a rather bad failure, it was quite an easy plan. Tiphares needed agents on the surface to do their biding like track down ex-Tiperans or find and kill the leaders of rebel groups. But no Tipherean would go to the surface and do such dirty jobs. So G.I.B knew it would need a surface dweller, well fo a little while at least. So G.I.B sent out speacil TR-55 units to find canadites for the project.

G.I.B never planned to ever kept their canadite long after they found him or her, they would use this person for awhile until they could get enough combat simulation to make their own copies of the candite. Which would be more reliable and efficient.

Alita's pet Kimiji, although she didnt know it was a TR-55, and it had been monitoring her since her days in motorball. When Zapanreturned to the Scrap Yard in the Beserker body, his fight with Alita was all G.I.B needed to see to know Alita was the perfect candite for their project. But Alita had violated Factory law during her battle with Zapan by firing a firearm.

Panzer Knust

Known as the armored arts, its said to be a martial art founded by Tiger Sauer during the early martian colonial periods three hundred years before the events in BAA. The first fighting style to anticipate cyborg combat, the Panzer Knust instructs its diciples in the art of handling both armed opponents and zero gravity. A training colony was created in Notics Labyrinthus in the western part of Valles Marineris. I was called  Grunthal, five of Sauers best pupils taught there. No one else knew about the style until one hundred years later during the Teraforming wars. Bu with the cease fire, Ladder shut Grunthal down.

However the success of Space Karate and the creation of Ahat Mastade owe a huge debt to Panzer Knust  influence. Panzer Knust secrets were publicly divulged, and it ceased to be taught. Others belive only superfical Pazer Knust methods were revealed and that a true Panzer Knust master still exsits!

There are nine Panzer Knst ranks: Anfanger (Beginner), Tzereter (Enthusiast), Lehrling (Apprentice), Gezere (War artisan), Krieger (Warrior), Hoher Krieger ( High Warrior, which is what Alita is at least known to be, she could be higher), Meister (Master), Adept (Licensed master), and Altermeist (Elder). All Panzer Knust practitioners are known as Kunstler or artist.

Most of the known techniques of Panzer Kunst are those that have been used by Alita at one point or another during her adventures.

• Hertza Haeon (also called Hertzer Hauen) – "Hertz Strike". One of Alita's most commonly used moves, the Hertza Haeon is a strike that delivers a high-frequency vibration to the victim, concentrating kinetic energy that when used correctly can be used to destroy or at least disrupt function of the brain or heart. Figure Four can also use a modified form of this move thanks to his anti-cyber martial arts.
• Elbogen-Blatt – "Elbow Blade". As its name suggests, the Panzer Kunst art of wielding elbow-blades, Alita's preferred weapon; considered part of the Mauser School.
• Kurz Bombe Kunst – "Small Bomb Art". A Mauser School weapons technique used by some members of the Kammer Gruppe such as Tzykrow der Rabe, although not Yoko, that involves the use of small bomb caps that are placed on vital spots on an opponent and then detonated by a specific method, such as snapping one's fingers. They can be used to cripple an opponent by targeting their vital spots, as well as for assassination and torture.
• Geschoss Schlag (also written Geschoß Schlag) – "Missile Blow". A faster-than-sound punch that adds a sonic boom-effect to the impact, delivering more force to the strike.
• Ausser Stosse (also written Außer Stoße) – "Addition Thrust". By twisting into an attack made by the opponent, the Künstler is able to redirect that energy against them, resulting in a kicking counterattack that is stronger than would normally be launched.
• Seinerweisen – "Personal Wisdom or Own Style". Individual techniques created by each Künstler that are unique based on their own body's construction, and thus unteachable. Tzykrow der Rabe's, for instance, was the ability to separate his head from his body and escape with it, due to minitaure retractable legs stored in its sides. While not considered part of Panzer Kunst, there was a tendency to consider Künstlers top-notch only once they had developed a Seinerweisen.

German for "secret" or "mystery", these moves are considered the "secret techniques" of Panzer Kunst.

• Einzug Rüstungen – "Armor Penetration". By attuning their rhythm of movement to the opponent's, the Künstler then strikes when the opponent's guard is weakest.
• Hertzer Nadel – "Hertz Needle". A two-part "Übergeheimnis" combination attack from the Schneider School, also called Hertzer Fahren ("Hertz Driver").
  • Verschlag – "Partition" or "Box". The first part of the attack, an initial Hertza Haeon-like strike is first applied in order to set loose a shockwave which bounces around inside the body, increasing in momentum and energy, before finally focusing on the extremities such as the limbs or joints. The opponent might notice this as a slight ringing in their ears. Note that while Hertza Haeon is usually delivered through the heel of the palm, Verschlag is done via the knuckles of the Künstler's fist.
  • Hertzer Nadel – The second strike, driving a second Verschlag into the focal point of the shockwave, which causes the pent-up energy to explode from within.
• Einsatzrhythmen – "Rhythm Entrance". A technique associated with the lond-dead Gossen School of Panzer Kunst, existing only in books by the time of Grünthal's fall, 200 years prior. By attuning their own chi to that of their opponent's, the Künstler is able to fully nullify the opponent's chi, completely halting any attack they might have launched. Very few Künstlers have ever been able to master this move.
