Alita is widley know from the comic series Battle Angel Alita. However on this page you will find out about other formats of media that Alita has apperead in including a new upcomming movie!
Anime Angel
In the early 1990's Battle Angel Alita made a small appearance in a short anime series. There are only two episodes of the anime ever released because it wasn't very popular. The animators said it was hard to make the anime and still preserve Yukito's artwork. Idea's came up for a third episode but they never got past the planning stages.
The anime was released in three formats. A Laser Disc, a VHS and a DVD.
The Laser Disc was the first format to be released and was the original Japanese format with English sub-titles. The Laser Disc version was released in 1993. Also released in 1993, the VHS version of Battle Angel Alita, produced by A.D.V films, was much the same as the Laser Disc version. It was Japanese with English sub titles and featured two episodes: Rusty Angel and Tear Sign. The best version of the anime is the DVD, also produced by A.D.V films. Released in 1999this version featured both English and Spanish subtitles as well as
original Japanese format with an English dubbed version. It also contains an introduction and ending credits. It features the same two episodes as the VHS.
You can buy them online at stores like Amazon.com, but it is currently out of print.

GUNNM Martian Memorys
Believe it or not the was a Jappenese Video game for playstation. In the game you played as Alita around the Scrap Yard. You also get to go to Tiphares and even Alita's home planet of Mars!

Live action Movie
Great News! The director of Titanic has agreed to make a live action movie of Battle Angel Alita, which is set to release in 2007. Alita will be a CG charecter (like Scooby Doo, or General Greivous from Star Wars). No one has been casted yet. More info to come. Gunnm Gaiden
Gunnm Gaiden is a collection of stories set around the premisis of Battle Angel Alita. There are three Gunnm Gaiden storys published, only in jappanese, which were feeatured in the back of the "Gunnm Complete Edition", also avalbilbe only in Japan. The names of the stories is The Sonic finger, The Holy Night and Homecoming.
